What makes a man, a man?

You hear this sentence before, in song’s lyrics, in speeches and it made your mind wonders, what really makes a man, a man?Is it what he has done in his life? Is it the choices he made? Is it the life he lived? Or is it the way he ends his life?
I think it has to be just more than that. Of course we are what we do, or better to say perhaps we do what we are. If it is so, you should be a man to be a man. Simple. Just be one, choices are not simple. I am not talking about just those choice we make every now and then which change our life, I am talking about those choices we make and change others life. We have to consider that when we do things it has some effect on other people.
Still sometimes my mind wonders why we should feel good when people engage us as a significant figure, when we really know what we are. Why we feel superior when we know just some simple choice, perhaps some luck on the way with some proper support from others made what we are? How could we don’t feel ashamed when we know everybody can do what we did? You may quote “it is not true! Everybody is unique in its own way.” Although I don’t disagree, but we have to implicate the element of environment and the time we made those choices which make us unique. Think about it.
Why we want to be The MAN?
